Using Boardmaker Design Software In Your Classroom

Are you looking for a way to create your own worksheets, signs, and schedules that communicate with visuals and text for your students?

Boardmaker Design Software is a powerful, easy to use program that helps you add images to a variety of documents. Boardmaker comes loaded with over 4,5000 picture symbols, but you can also add your own images to be used with a variety of communication templates. Research Center Opens for Parents With Disabilities

About 15% of U.S. families have at least one parent with a disability. In ongoing efforts to address this large group, a new national nonprofit center is opening in California. The center will be dedicated to researching issues facing parents with disabilities including family roles and personal assistance, custody, paratransit, and intervention with parents cognitive disabilities and their children. 

The center is funded by a grant from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. Staff will include nationally recognized experts on parenting with disabilities.
